Before entering private practice, Mr. Burman prosecuted capital crimes as a Criminal Division Chief for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. Today, Mr. Burman specializes in complex commercial litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith.
Mr. Burman has secured numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of the Firm’s clients in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death and insurance bad faith. In the area of complex commercial litigation, Mr. Burman has both successfully prosecuted multi-million dollar claims and defended same in the following areas:
- Construction and environmental related litigation: including representing developers, architects, general contractors, as well as owners of large commercial projects and/or luxury homes
- Contract and intellectual property matters
- Professional partnership and professional association litigated matters, including malpractice and partnership dissolution
- Banking, secured creditor and lender liability litigation
- Real estate related litigation including but not limited to, vendor/vendee disputes, joint venture and partnership related litigation, zoning matters, land use litigation, lease disputes, etc.
- Federal and State securities matters
- Litigated matters related to insurance coverage
- Insurance bad faith
He also serves as a Mediator or Arbitrator occasionally, on major cases at the request of his peers.
